Hey, I’m Emalie!
If you ask my friends to describe me they’ll probably say I’m the one that makes anything – no matter how niche – sound like the next big thing. I’m the person who convinces everyone to try something new whether it’s a better way to budget, curating a thoughtful wardrobe, or taking a new hobby way too seriously.
I just started a 6-week sabbatical – a pause for some great, big personal exploration – and this space is my way of documenting and sharing what I learn along the way. Over the next few weeks I’ll be writing about the systems and choices that shape what life feels like day-to-day in work, style, movement, and money.
I’m a product manager by trade (and an engineer by education) which means I spend a lot of time thinking about how things work, how they break, and how to connect dots to make big, messy problems feel approachable. That shows up in how I approach everything. So while I’m not the authority on topics like conscious consumption or personal finance, I do have practical ideas. I’ve found ways to make meaningful change that are realistic and accessible for anyone just trying to be a little different than yesterday.
But to be clear: this space isn’t about having answers. This space is about the systems and frameworks that make day-to-day choices easier. I’ll share personal stories, lessons I’ve learned (and am still learning), and practical ideas you can try for yourself. More often than not, I’ll probably just write about what’s on my mind.
If you’re curious, open to experimenting, and just want to feel a little more in it every day, I think you’ll feel at home here too.
more context soon,
Emalie
